Travel through Brazilian cooperativism

In the south of the state of EspĂrito Santo, leaving Victoria  and following the Brazilian highways 262 and 101, one finds the City of Cachoeiro Itapemirim, 135 km from the capital.

That's where the Unimed Capixaba South Health cooperative. Unimed Capixaba South was founded in December 1989 as part of the Unimed System, the largest cooperative experience in health care around the world and also the largest private healthcare network in Brazil, present in 83 % of the national territory.

In the South of Espirito Santo, or in Capixaba south as the region is known, Unimed has 395 medical members and is present in 30 municipalities. Its mission is to provide healthcare solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction with social responsibility.

The cooperative has undertaken to develop activities, projects and programs of social and environmental responsibility in accordance with the Millennium Development Goals and for the tenth consecutive year has won the Seal of social Responsibility, given by the Unimed System  to Unimeds that have technically structured and implemented.
